Attorney Brown is an experienced civil and criminal attorney with well-honed investigatory and trial skills who has tried numerous jury and non-jury cases to verdict and questioned hundreds of witnesses under oath both in and out of court, at hearings and in grand jury proceedings.

Attorney Brown began her career practicing as a civil litigator in private practice specializing in insurance defense. In 2002, Attorney Brown joined the Office of the Attorney General as a Criminal Prosecutor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts working in the Insurance and Unemployment Fraud Division. Working as an Assistant Attorney General, Attorney Brown specialized in investigating and prosecuting white collar crimes. Her areas of expertise included: insurance fraud involving complex areas of workers’ compensation premium evasion; fraud perpetrated by contractors and/or insurance agents; insurance billing schemes involving insurance agents, doctors and lawyers; and staged car accidents and fraud rings. Attorney Brown was also responsible for prosecuting perpetrators of unemployment fraud, and fraud cases stemming from the Central Artery Tunnel Project; i.e., the “Big Dig”.

As a prosecutor, Attorney Brown worked closely with several insurance companies and the Insurance Fraud Bureau of Massachusetts. In 2005, Attorney Brown was recognized by AIG World Investigative Resources, Inc. for her dedication and distinguished achievement in the prosecution of insurance fraud. Attorney Brown was also the recipient of the Insurance Fraud Bureau of Massachusetts’ Award of Distinction for being a leader at the forefront of the insurance fraud fight, and for her outstanding and invaluable contributions toward the fight against insurance fraud in Massachusetts.

Attorney Brown's practice includes commercial litigation, insurance defense and fraud litigation in both state and federal court.
